Born in Riga, Latvia, Pavel immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with his family of musicians. Thanks to his tireless work ethic and the support of church members and hardworking parents, Pavel excelled in academic and musical performance to eventually earn a full scholarship to Boston University to study cello performance. While in Boston, Pavel discovered an aptitude for computers and technology which led him to his first job as an Information Technology specialist with Gannett/USATODAY in Mclean, VA. In marrying his high school sweetheart (a matriculating UVa medical student), Pavel came to Charlottesville and to a Technology Specialist position with the Charlottesville City Schools. Pavel quickly adjusted to his new home and developed a profound love for the area’s elegant beauty and European cosmopolitan feel.
As a professional Realtor, Pavel offers the highest level of customer service to his clients. He approaches his work with the same commitment to client satisfaction and zeal for problem-solving that created his outstanding reputation at the Charlottesville City Schools. Pavel distinguishes himself by not only understanding the inner workings of the real estate business but also by implementing the latest technology to achieve maximum success.
Today, Pavel continues to contribute his many talents to the richness of the Charlottesville community. A composer of both classical and electronic music, Pavel’s work has been published in Computer Music Magazine (UK) and has received airplay on a local radio station. He has become known around Charlottesville as a sought-after private teacher and a member of the acclaimed Linden Trio. In his free time you can catch him performing at Old Cabell Hall, jamming at Gravity Lounge, or playing basketball with teachers at a local school.
In 2005, Pavel, his wife Jacqueline and two-year old Mark welcomed identical twin boys (pictured on the right) into their family. The Dovgalyuks make their home in the City of Charlottesville. |
